Built for riders who send it on descents, the Lazer Chase KinetiCore is a full-face mountain bike helmet that delivers downhill-rated protection without the weight penalty. KinetiCore's integrated crumple zones manage both direct and rotational impact forces, and the breakaway visor helps protect the head and neck during a fall — all in a shell rated five stars by the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab.

Highlights

  • KinetiCore rotational protection: Controlled Crumple Zones built into the shell absorb and redirect direct and rotational impact forces, eliminating the need for a separate MIPS liner.
  • ASTM downhill certified: Meets ASTM F1952 downhill racing standard as well as CPSC and CE EN 1078 certifications — confidence for park laps and enduro stages alike.
  • Breakaway visor: Engineered to detach on impact, reducing excess shell rotation and helping protect the head and neck.
  • Double D-ring chin strap: Secure and rattle-free retention even on aggressive terrain.
  • Flexible face guard: Front grid shields the face from mud, debris, and splashes.
  • 11 ventilation channels: KinetiCore channelling draws airflow through the helmet to keep riders cool on long climbs.
  • Neck-brace compatible: Designed to work with standard MTB neck-brace systems.
  • Plush inner liner: Sweat-wicking padding for all-day comfort during shuttle days and trail centre sessions.

KinetiCore technology

Rather than adding a floating liner, Lazer builds Controlled Crumple Zones directly into the polycarbonate and EPS shell construction. In the event of a crash these zones compress and redirect energy away from your head, addressing both the linear and rotational forces that are responsible for the most serious head injuries. The result is a lighter, lower-profile helmet with no extra hardware to maintain or replace.

Construction

The Chase KinetiCore combines an EPS foam core with a polycarbonate shell, fiberglass, carbon fibre, and nylon components to achieve the strength-to-weight balance demanded by enduro and downhill riders. At 990 g (size M), it sits at approximately 10% lighter than comparable full-face helmets in its class.

Compatibility & Fit

This listing is size Large, fitting head circumferences of 58–60 cm. The Chase KinetiCore is available in XS (52–54 cm), S (54–56 cm), M (56–58 cm), L (58–60 cm), and XL (60–62 cm).
