IRC's Tanken is an all-mountain enduro tyre built for long descents — a big, aggressive knob pattern that stays hooked up through rough, off-camber trail.

What it's for

Alternating vertical and horizontal side blocks give lateral traction when the trail cants away from you, with sidewall protection for rock strikes on the way down. IRC's low-rebound, high-grip compound and 60 TPI casing are tuned for grip over rolling speed. Tubeless-ready, folding aramid bead.

Tanken vs Tanken Gekkota

Gekkota shares the same Tanken tread pattern in a softer, low-rebound compound for extra bite when grip matters most — not a different tread, just a stickier rubber (and a little more weight for it).

IRC doesn't publish a specific consumer warranty for this tyre. It's covered under Australian Consumer Law against manufacturing defects for a reasonable period from purchase. Any claim comes back to Tune Cycles — bring it to Marrickville or contact us with your order number and we handle it with the distributor. Wear, punctures, sidewall cuts, crash damage and running outside the stated pressure range are not covered.
