The Tech 4 X2 draws on more than 25 years of Hope hydraulic brake design to deliver more power, delivered consistently from the moment you pull the lever. It pairs the Tech 4 lever with Hope's two-piston X2 caliper for XC and lightweight trail riding.

A lighter, more controllable lever

Higher hydraulic and mechanical ratios give a linear, easy-to-control power delivery. New sealing and a roller bearing pivot allow a lower spring rate, so the lever is lighter and less tiring while keeping Hope's feel and modulation.

X2 caliper

The lightweight two-piston X2 post mount caliper is a rigid, CNC-machined one-piece design, making the Tech 4 X2 a best-in-class XC brake. Maximum rotor thickness is 2.3mm.

Compatibility & fit

Post mount caliper; rotor and the correct Hope mount are sold separately. Hope supplies Tech 4 brakes with the rear-length 1.6m hose fitted, to be trimmed to length. In Australia the front brake usually runs on the right lever – our workshop can set up either way. Fitting, hose trimming and bleeding are a separate Tune Cycles workshop service, not included in the price – book at tunecycles.com.au/book.

Hope Technology covers its components for two years from the original date of purchase against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship; damage from normal wear, misuse or not following Hope's recommendations isn't covered. For warranty support, return the item to Tune Cycles with your proof of purchase and we'll manage the claim for you. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
