The 2025 Transfer is Fox's fully redesigned cable dropper: smoother, tougher and easier to tune than before, with up to 240mm of drop. This Factory version wears Fox's genuine Kashima Coat on the upper post, the smoothest and most durable finish in the range.

Redesigned to last

Fox rebuilt the Transfer's hydraulics around an entirely new sealing system. Metal-backed Ekonol (PTFE) bushings keep friction low for easier actuation, and the full-service interval now sits at 300 hours. Fox's schedule is a basic collar service every 25 hours, an intermediate service at 125 hours and a full service at 300 hours. Press and hold the lever to move the post, and release it when the saddle reaches the height you want.

Tune it to your bike

Recharge or adjust the air spring through the Schrader valve under the saddle clamp (Fox specifies 275–325 psi) to set your preferred return speed, or to allow for altitude and temperature. A metal valve cap with an O-ring keeps the air in. If the full drop is too much for your frame or leg length, the travel adjust spacers in the box take travel down by up to 25mm in 5mm steps.

Factory or Performance Elite?

Fox gives both series the same redesigned internals, travel adjustment, size options and weight. Factory adds the genuine Kashima Coat to the upper post; Performance Elite has a black anodised 7000-series aluminium shaft.

Compatibility & fit

The cable attaches at the base of the post, so your frame needs internal dropper routing. The lever isn't included: Fox's Transfer 1x lever (sold separately) weighs 33.5 grams and comes with both Matchmaker and I-SPEC EV mounts. The saddle clamp takes 7mm round or 7 x 9mm oval rails and isn't compatible with 8mm round rails. Choose the diameter that matches your frame's seat tube, and keep at least 100mm of the post in the frame. For the fit check, set your current post at riding height and measure from the top of the seat collar to the centre of the saddle rails (Fox's measurement A): it must fall inside the range shown for the size you choose.

Fitting, including routing the cable and housing through the frame, is a separate workshop service. Tune Cycles is an authorised Fox service centre, so we can also look after the Transfer when it's due for service.

Sizes & options

Choose your seat tube diameter and drop. Total length is Fox's figure from the centre of the saddle rails to the base of the post at full extension; the cable actuator adds 28mm below that. The travel adjust spacers shorten travel and total length by up to 25mm.
