Shimano EW-SS300 speed sensor, 540 mm

The chainstay speed sensor that tells a Shimano Steps system how fast the bike is actually travelling. The low-profile body tucks in close to the frame, which keeps it out of harm's way on rough trails and leaves more room for wider tyres.

Built for rough ground

A speed sensor lives in the worst spot on the bike for mud and strikes, so the robust, low-profile housing matters. Sitting close to the chainstay also frees up clearance around a wider tyre.

Compatibility and fit

For Shimano Steps e-bike systems using the SD300 wiring, mounted to the chainstay. Shimano offers wire lengths of 340, 540, 760 and 1400 mm — this is the 540 mm version, so measure the run on your bike before ordering. The spoke magnet set is included. If you would rather not guess, bring the bike in and we will check the length you need.
