XD-15 bearings

XD-15 is Enduro's exclusive ceramic-hybrid bearing: stainless XD-15 nitrogen steel races that won't corrode or rust like most ceramic hybrids, with silicon nitride ceramic balls in deep-groove raceways that fit the largest possible balls. The 15° angular contact design gives full ball contact and works with the preload systems modern cranks use. Enduro presses the bearings into precision-machined aluminium cups that thread directly into the BB shell, guaranteeing accurate alignment.

Preload and chainline

The 15° angular contact design needs a light preload for the best adjustment. Some cranksets have a preload system built in; if yours doesn't, or it's plastic, use the machined aluminium preload adjuster Enduro now includes in this kit, along with a full set of bottom bracket spacers for precise chainline.

Compatibility & fit

For 68mm or 73mm BSA threaded bottom bracket shells and 30mm spindle cranksets. Enduro recommends its BBT-46x12-30 Pro Cup socket (46mm x 12-spline) or BBT-036 flat wrench to install it, and the BRT-060-MH press with BRT-040-30MM toolkit and BRT-019 adapter for bearing service. Our workshop can install it for you as a separate service; fitting isn't included in the price.
