When a carbon seatpost keeps slipping at the correct torque, the answer isn't more torque. Carbogrip creates a grippy, anti-seize layer that holds clamped parts in place and still lets them come apart years later.

How it works

Carbogrip is a high-molecular-weight silicone resin. Under clamping force its layer prevents movement; release the clamp and its anti-seize character lets the part slide out. Effetto Mariposa designed it as a partner to torque wrenches such as its own Giustaforza.

How to use it

Clean and degrease both surfaces (for a seatpost, the inside of the seat tube too), apply Carbogrip, assemble straight away and tighten to the recommended torque. Wait 3 to 5 minutes before riding. Remove traces with Carbomove or another petrol-based solvent.

More uses

Apply inside neoprene MTB grips so they slide on and then lock in place, or spread on tubeless tyre beads to stop them moving at low pressures. A part-used blister seals itself as the resin at the opening sets, keeping the rest for later.

Compatibility & fit

For carbon and metal seatposts, stems, bars, aero extensions, bottom brackets and bolts. Always tighten to the component manufacturer's torque specification. Flammable and a skin and eye irritant: keep away from ignition sources.
