The DT Swiss XM 551 is an extra-wide aluminium all mountain rim made to give plus-size and wide trail tyres a broad, planted footprint for maximum grip and control. It is built strong for demanding trail and all mountain use.

Construction
The rim is welded for an even, consistent bead seat and uses the DT Swiss PHR (non-eyelet) spoke interface, which spreads spoke loads across a broad area so the wide rim stays strong and torsionally stiff.
Compatibility & fit
This is a 27.5" (584) rim drilled for 32 spokes, suitable for disc-brake plus, trail and all mountain wheel builds. It is hooked and tubeless ready (TC) and takes a Presta valve. Pair with compatible DT Swiss spokes, nipples and PHR washers for the intended build.
DT Swiss covers this rim with a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear items, including tubeless tape, are not covered. The DT Swiss crash-replacement (Fair Share) programme applies to carbon rims only and does not apply to this aluminium rim.
