The DT Swiss XM 481 is a do-it-all aluminium rim for trail and all-mountain riding. With a 30 mm internal width, a tough welded build and ASTM Category 4 rating, it pairs everyday versatility with the strength to handle aggressive trails and e-MTB use.

One rim for the whole mountain
The XM 481's 30 mm internal width gives modern trail tyres a broad, supportive base for more grip and control, while the welded joint and non-eyelet Pro Head Reinforcement (PHR) spoke bed spread loads to keep the wheel strong and true. Its ASTM Category 4 rating and e-bike approval make it equally at home on a regular trail bike or an e-MTB.
Compatibility & fit
29" / 622 diameter, 28 spoke holes, disc brakes only. Tubeless Ready with a Presta valve. Build with the supplied DT Pro Lock Squorx nipples and PHR washers. Maximum recommended system weight 120 kg.
DT Swiss covers this rim with a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear items, including tubeless tape, are not covered. The DT Swiss crash-replacement (Fair Share) programme applies to carbon rims only and does not apply to this aluminium rim.
