Construction
A larger rim cross section gives the U 623 extra resistance to the higher forces generated by loaded touring and electric bikes. The hooked (crochet) tubeless bed lets you run lower pressures with sealant, and the rim ships with a Schrader valve plus a Presta adapter. The 28 hole, pin-jointed rim suits dependable everyday wheel builds.
Compatibility & fit
Disc brake only, with no machined braking surface. Sized for 29in (700C) tyres and intended for trekking, urban and e-bike use within ASTM category 2. Carries an e-bike approval up to 32 km/h or 250W and a 180kg maximum system weight.
DT Swiss covers this rim with a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear items, including tubeless tape, are not covered. The DT Swiss crash-replacement (Fair Share) programme applies to carbon rims only and does not apply to this aluminium rim.
