The DT Swiss R 500 DB is a wide, durable aluminium rim built to bridge road and cyclocross duty. Disc-specific and tubeless ready, it is the dependable workhorse of DT Swiss's cross-road range. This is the 32 hole version in 700c / 29er.

Construction
Machined from aluminium with a 23 mm depth and a sleeve-joined seam, the R 500 DB uses a non-eyelet spoke bore to balance weight with everyday durability. Its generous 22 mm internal width supports wider, higher-volume tyres for confident handling on mixed surfaces. The hooked, tubeless-ready bed lets you run tubes or tubeless with the appropriate tape and valve.
Compatibility & fit
This is a disc-brake rim in the 700c / 29er (622) diameter with 32 spoke holes, the strongest count in the range for heavier riders, loaded touring and demanding gravel and cross use. It takes a Presta valve and is rated to a maximum system weight of 130 kg (ASTM category 2). It is not compatible with rim-brake setups. Spokes, nipples, hub and tubeless tape are not included.
DT Swiss covers this rim with a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear items, including tubeless tape, are not covered. The DT Swiss crash-replacement (Fair Share) programme applies to carbon rims only and does not apply to this aluminium rim.
