Built for e-MTB
The HX 581 is approved for e-bikes up to a maximum 32 km/h or 250 W and carries a 150 kg maximum system weight under ASTM category 4. Its robust welded construction is made to take the extra power and torque of an e-MTB drivetrain over rough, demanding terrain.
Compatibility & fit
This is a disc-specific rim with no brake track, so it suits disc-brake wheels only. The wide 35 mm internal width is the ideal partner for plus-size tyres over 2.4 inches. It uses non-eyelet PHR spoke seats and a Presta valve hole, and is tubeless ready once set up with tape and a valve.
DT Swiss covers this rim with a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear items, including tubeless tape, are not covered. The DT Swiss crash-replacement (Fair Share) programme applies to carbon rims only and does not apply to this aluminium rim.
