The DT Swiss G 540 is the brand's go-anywhere gravel workhorse: a robust, sleeved aluminium rim with a wide 24mm internal bed that lets you run lower pressures for more grip, comfort and control on rough roads and trails.

Construction
The G 540 uses a hooked tubeless rim profile in 6000-series aluminium with a sleeve joint and non-eyelet spoke bed. At 28mm outer width and 25mm deep it balances strength and stiffness with a sensible weight of around 530g in this 650b size, and is rated to ASTM category 2 with a maximum system weight of 130kg. It is also approved for e-bikes up to 25km/h (max 250W).
Compatibility & fit
Disc brake only, 650b / 584 diameter. The smaller 650b wheel suits high-volume gravel and adventure tyres up to roughly 53mm for extra grip and comfort. The 32-hole count gives the most durable build for heavier riders, loaded touring and rough terrain. Use a Presta tubeless valve and suitable tubeless tape (not included).
DT Swiss covers this rim with a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear items, including tubeless tape, are not covered. The DT Swiss crash-replacement (Fair Share) programme applies to carbon rims only and does not apply to this aluminium rim.
