Construction

The G 540 uses a hooked tubeless rim profile in 6000-series aluminium with a sleeve joint and non-eyelet spoke bed. At 28mm outer width and 25mm deep, it balances strength and stiffness with a sensible weight, and is rated to ASTM category 2 with a maximum system weight of 130kg. It is also approved for e-bikes up to 25km/h (max 250W).

Compatibility & fit

Disc brake only. The 24mm internal width suits wide gravel tyres up to roughly 53mm and pairs well with 35c and wider treads. Use a Presta tubeless valve and suitable tubeless tape (not included). This listing is the 28-hole drilling; confirm your hub and spoke count before building.

DT Swiss covers this rim with a 24-month warranty against material and manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. Normal wear items, including tubeless tape, are not covered. The DT Swiss crash-replacement (Fair Share) programme applies to carbon rims only and does not apply to this aluminium rim.
