Gear steps that make sense
The sprocket progression runs in even two-tooth steps through the middle of the block before opening out at the bottom, so you can hold a cadence on rolling ground and still have something left for a steep pinch.
Compatibility and fit
Shimano 10-speed mountain drivetrains, on a standard HG freehub body. Your rear derailleur must be able to handle a 36T largest sprocket, so check its maximum sprocket rating before ordering. Run it with a Shimano 10-speed HG-X chain. Fitting a 10-speed cassette to an 11-speed freehub body requires a spacer behind the cassette. Ask us if you are not sure what your hub or derailleur will take.
Shimano warrants this cassette against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear is excluded, which here means sprocket tooth wear from use, along with damage caused by running a worn chain, crash damage, or damage from incorrect fitting or an under- or over-tightened lockring.
