Tread
Vee took the design of its full-size Crown Gem and made a smaller version for junior mountain bike racing. The tread pairs specially designed side knobs for cornering control with an aggressive centre knob for traction and speed.
Compound and casing
Vee's Multi-Purpose Compound (MPC) is a 56a all-terrain, all-condition rubber, chosen for durability, puncture protection and long tyre life. This size uses a 27 TPI casing and a wire bead.
Compatibility & fit
Size 12 x 2.25 in, ETRTO 57-203. Vee lists this version as not tubeless ready, so run it with an inner tube. Vee's pressure range is 30-55 psi (2.0-4.0 bar). Match the size to the one moulded on your current tyre's sidewall. Fitting and puncture repair are workshop services and aren't included in the price. Our workshop can fit your new tyres and check the tubes and rim tape while the wheels are out.
Vee Tire Co. covers its tyres for 1 year from the original purchase date or 2 years from the production date, whichever comes first. The warranty doesn't cover accidental damage, incorrect mounting or maintenance, damage caused by a bicycle malfunction, or misuse or modification of the tyre. This cover is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Keep your proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Vee Tire's Australian distributor.
