Choosing a spring rate

Spring rate is set by rider weight (including gear) and the shock's leverage ratio. Cane Creek publishes a spring rate guide, and the Tune workshop can help you land on the right weight – too soft and the shock sits too deep in travel, too firm and it feels harsh without using full travel.

Compatibility & fit

Stroke length must match your shock exactly – a spring built for the wrong stroke won't seat correctly and can bind or coil-bind under compression. Check your shock's stroke length before ordering; fit is as published by Cane Creek only.

Cane Creek backs the VALT spring under its general 1-year warranty from original purchase against manufacturing defects; everyday wear and use with the wrong stroke length aren't covered. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Cane Creek's Australian distributor. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law – keep your proof of purchase.
