The GXC is a lightweight, rigid stem with a high-polish finish, sized and shaped for modern gravel and cross-country frames. Cane Creek forges and machines it from 6066 aluminium rather than casting it, which is most of why it undercuts other stems in its weight class on price.

Build and finish

Forging and machining 6066 aluminium (rather than lower-cost casting) is what keeps the GXC light — from 94g at 50mm up to 120g at 100mm — without the price of a carbon or titanium stem. The 50mm length ships without the side graphics that the longer lengths carry.

Compatibility & fit

31.8mm handlebar clamp and a 1-1/8in steerer clamp (42mm stack height) — not for tapered 1.5in-to-1-1/8in steerers or 35mm bar clamps. The stem's rise is fixed at ±6°; it does not come in other angles. Suits modern gravel and cross-country frames built around a short-stack, 1-1/8in steerer front end.
