Shimano BR-MT420 rear hydraulic disc brake kit with BL-MT401 left lever

A complete rear brake, assembled and ready to fit: four-piston caliper, left-hand lever and a 1700 mm hose already bled. In Australia the left lever operates the rear brake, which is how this kit is supplied.

Power without the fuss

The four-piston caliper gives more pad area and steadier power than a two-piston brake of the same tier, while the braking feel is tuned so it stays predictable rather than grabby. Funnel bleeding keeps routine maintenance quick and clean.

Compatibility and fit

Supplied as a rear brake with a left-hand lever, without a mount adapter, so you will need the correct adapter for your frame's mount and rotor size. Uses Shimano mineral oil only; do not use DOT fluid. Rotor and adapter are purchased separately. If you are unsure which adapter or rotor size your frame takes, ask us before you order.
