Shimano MT200 front hydraulic disc brake, right lever

A complete front hydraulic disc brake: BL-MT200 lever, BR-MT200 caliper, hose already fitted and the system bled ready to bolt on. This is the right-hand lever, which on an Australian-delivered bike operates the front brake. It is the direct successor to the BR-M315.

Quiet, predictable braking for everyday riding

Shimano sets the MT200's power at around 90 per cent of the MT400 kit, tuned for riders who want predictable stopping rather than race-level bite. The wider pad clearance is the practical win day to day: fewer rubbing noises and less pad rattle over rough surfaces.

Compatibility and fit

Post mount caliper, supplied without an adapter, for a post mount fork. Check which rotor size your fork allows and buy the matching adapter separately if you need one. The rotor is not included. Uses Shimano hydraulic mineral oil only, never DOT fluid. Supplied in black. We can fit and bleed it for you at the Marrickville workshop.

Shimano warrants this brake against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear is excluded, which on a hydraulic disc brake means brake pads, hose wear and the mineral oil itself, along with damage from crashes, incorrect fitting, contaminated pads or the use of any fluid other than Shimano hydraulic mineral oil.

Warranty claims and returns are handled by Tune Cycles. Contact us with your order number, send the part back to us, and we will assess it and lodge the claim with the distributor on your behalf. Please do not send the part to Shimano directly.
