Freedom built the Black Diamond to give aggressive riders reassurance in challenging terrain: tall knobs for grip in loose ground, with a Nylon Breaker in the casing for added peace of mind.

Highlights

• High knobs that dig into loose terrain for traction
• Angled centre knobs to minimise rolling resistance
• Heavy duty casing with a Nylon Breaker
• 29 x 2.25 in, wire bead

Tread

The high-knobbed design digs deep into loose terrain for traction, while the angled centre knobs keep rolling resistance down.

Casing and protection

The heavy duty casing incorporates a Nylon Breaker, a reinforcement layer directly under the tread area that protects against punctures.

Compatibility & fit

This tyre is sized 29 x 2.25 in. Match it to the size moulded into your current tyre's sidewall: tyres for different wheel diameters aren't interchangeable, and the width needs to suit your rim and frame clearance. It has a wire bead, so it doesn't fold. Freedom doesn't list it as tubeless-ready, so plan to run it with an inner tube. Fitting and puncture repair are workshop services and aren't included in the price. Our workshop can fit your new tyres and check the tubes and rim tape while the wheels are out.
