The 26a is part of Profile Design's A-series aluminium extensions, which evolved from its T-series. The name gives the bend and the material: 26a is a 26° bend in aluminium. They fit any aerobar designed for 22.2 mm extensions.

Fit

Profile Design says the only job of an extension is to put your hands in a comfortable place relative to the armrests, so you can relax into your position. The 26a gives a 26° grip you can hold high or low, and the 7.5 mm lateral shift per side (15 mm total) lets you fine-tune grip width.

Recent aerobar fit has trended towards higher hand positions, so Profile Design increased the rise of this generation compared with its previous extensions.

Cable routing

The extensions are pre-drilled for bar-end shifter cable routing, with cables exiting at the rear, so there are no cable exit holes along the extension. They work with electronic or mechanical shifters. Profile Design lists its aluminium series extensions as compatible with the Aeroport Di2 adapter (sold separately).

Aerobar fitting and position set-up is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. Our workshop can fit the extensions, cut them to length and set up your position.
