X-Glide shift technology

SRAM's X-Glide uses strategically placed ramps and shaped teeth on the chainring's inner face — where the chain lifts onto the ring during an upshift or drops off during a downshift. The chain is guided through the transition more smoothly, reducing hesitation and the number of failed front shifts, particularly under load.
