What it does
The pulley wheels (jockey wheels) guide and tension the chain through the derailleur cage. Over time their bearings develop play and the tooth profile wears, leading to noise, skipping and sloppy shifts. This kit supplies fresh X-Sync pulleys and a new inner cage so the chain runs true again.
X-Sync pulleys
The 12-tooth X-Sync pulley profile uses alternating tall and narrow teeth to grip the chain and keep it tracking accurately under load, which is central to the XX1 1x drivetrain's clean shifting and chain retention.
