Even pressure, no damage

A wedge-shaped machined aluminium head drives down between the pads and presses both sides of the caliper back at the same rate. Because the load is shared evenly, you avoid the cocked, partially-stuck pistons you can get when levering them back with a tyre lever or screwdriver, and there is no risk of gouging the piston faces.

Simple to use

The retaining-pin hole through the centre of the tool locates it in the caliper and gives it something to leverage against. The keyed dial at the top (also a 5 mm interface) is turned in to drive the wedge down; spin it by hand for most jobs, or use a 5 mm hex key when a piston needs more persuasion.

Bleed block in the same tool

With the pistons pushed fully home, the press sits in the caliper as a bleed block, so you can move straight into a brake bleed without swapping to a separate block.

Compatibility & fit

Designed to fit Small, Medium and Large calipers and to work near-universally across 2- and 4-piston hydraulic disc brake calipers. It does not suit bridge-construction calipers that cover the pad opening from the top, such as SRAM Maven and Magura MT7. If you are unsure whether your caliper has a bridge over the pad slot, check before ordering.
