Reliable hydraulic power
The Rival 1 HRD runs on DOT 5.1 fluid through a sealed hydraulic system for repeatable lever feel and strong, fade-resistant braking. The 2-piston caliper is forged from aluminium and uses steel-backed organic pads for quiet, progressive bite.
Moto lever layout
This is the Moto version, where the left lever controls the rear brake rather than the front. This matches the common Australian brake setup and suits riders who prefer the left hand on the rear. As a 1x left lever it is brake-only (no shifting), with an ErgoDynamic hood shape and tooled reach adjustment.
Compatibility & fit
This is the left lever and rear-brake caliper assembly with a long 1800mm hose and Flat Mount hardware, suited to flat-mount road, gravel and cyclocross frames. The rotor and any mount bracket/adaptor are sold separately, so confirm your flat-mount standard and required rotor size before purchase.
SRAM components are covered by SRAM's limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the original date of purchase. The warranty does not cover damage from crashes, misuse, improper installation, or normal wear (including brake pads and rotors).
