Power that suits the extra mass
The Guide RE takes the proven four-piston caliper from SRAM's gravity-focused Code brake and mates it to the lighter-action Guide R lever. The larger caliper and sintered metal pads cope with the higher average speeds and added weight of a motor and battery, shedding heat better than a typical trail brake during long, loaded descents.
Simple, reliable control
The aluminium lever blade offers tool-free reach adjustment so you can dial in lever position to your hand. The system runs on DOT 5.1 fluid and ships pre-bled for a straightforward install.
Compatibility and fit
This is the front brake, supplied with a front-length 850mm hose and a post-mount caliper that suits a wide range of forks (rotor size dependent on adaptor/mount). A rotor is not included and should be selected to suit your wheel and frame. The lever clamp is MatchMaker compatible, so it can share a clamp with SRAM shifters and a RockShox Reverb remote to tidy your cockpit. In a typical Australian setup the right-hand lever operates the front brake.
SRAM warrants this product to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original owner and is not transferable, and proof of purchase is required.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear (including brake pads), improper installation or maintenance, crash damage, or modification. For any warranty claim or support, please return the product to Tune Cycles and we will manage the assessment and claim process on your behalf.
