A three-minute clean for the two dirtiest systems on the bike. Spray it on, watch it turn red as it captures oil and grime, and rinse it away. SILCA designed it to be safe on brake pads and rotors, and it helps eliminate brake squeal.

Highlights

  • Targets brake dust, road grime and oils
  • Visual indicator: foams purplish-red as it encapsulates oil and dirt
  • Safe on brake pads and rotors when rinsed thoroughly
  • Will not attack wax on paint or on a waxed drivetrain
  • Clean rinsing, cinnamon scent

How it works

Spray onto the brakes and drivetrain. The formula captures and converts oils and grime as it runs off, changing colour so you can see it working. After 3 to 5 minutes, rinse well.

After cleaning your brakes

Rinse the cleaner thoroughly off the pads, then re-bed your brakes before riding for the best braking performance.

Waxed chains

This is not a chain stripper. To strip a chain before hot waxing, SILCA recommends its Chain Stripper instead. Brake and Drivetrain Cleaner is ideal for prepping the cassette and the rest of the drivetrain for a freshly waxed chain.

Compatibility & fit

For disc brake pads and rotors, cassettes, chainrings, derailleurs and chains. Not intended for stripping factory grease from a chain before hot waxing.
