Nastro Piloti is SILCA's thinnest bar tape, built for riders who want to feel the bar. A laminated construction delivers grip, vibration isolation and durability that a single foam extrusion can't.

Highlights

• 1.85 mm laminate of SILCAthane, SILCAlon and 3M visco-elastic adhesive
• High-tack top layer for wet and dry grip
• SILCA quotes 3-5x the durability of existing tape materials
• Adhesive-backed butterfly piece covers the lever clamp without bulk
• Fully adhesive finishing tape and aluminium expanding bar plugs

Why a laminate

Taking cues from running-shoe foams and F1 tyres, SILCA layers different materials instead of relying on one foam. That lets each layer do its own job: a grippy top surface, a damping core and a 3M adhesive backing that keeps the wrap in place.

The details that finish the wrap

A full adhesive-backed butterfly segment covers the back of the lever clamp without adding bulk, a high-grip finishing tape closes off the wrap, and aluminium expanding end plugs lock into the bar.

Compatibility & fit

Each roll is 230 cm (±10%), which SILCA says is long enough to wrap standard drop bars with some to spare. Bar tape fitting is available as a separate Tune Cycles workshop service.
