Harder than the lockring

Hardened 6/4 titanium is not as hard as tool steel, but SILCA says it is harder and stronger than the steels used in many traditional cycling tools, and 4-6x harder and stronger than the aluminium used in high-end lockrings.

Designed for well-maintained bikes

Like the matching titanium chain whip, this tool is made for lockrings that come off with normal effort and is NOT compatible with cheater bars.

Compatibility & fit

The tool head has two spline patterns, one for Shimano/SRAM lockrings and one for Campagnolo lockrings. Use it with a chain whip, such as SILCA's titanium whip, to hold the cassette.
