Shadow RD+ Technology

Shimano's Shadow RD+ (SHADOW RD Plus) clutch mechanism applies friction to the pulley cage to dampen movement, significantly reducing chain slap and unintentional drops. The toggle lever lets you switch clutch engagement on or off — helpful when loading the bike or walking technical sections.

XTR M9100 Drivetrain Integration

Designed as part of the XTR M9100 groupset, this derailleur works in concert with Shimano's 12-speed cassettes and XTR shifters to deliver the fastest, most precise mountain shifting Shimano offers. Larger 13T pulleys compared to previous-generation XTR reduce friction and improve overall drivetrain efficiency, while decreased low-gear tension protects the chain and derailleur when running large cogs.

Compatibility & Fit

Compatible with Shimano 12-speed and 11-speed (CS-M9110) mountain cassettes with a maximum cog of 45T and a chain wrap capacity of 35T. Suits 1×11 and 1×12 drivetrain configurations. Mounts via standard direct attachment (conventional hanger). Designed for use with Shimano XTR M9100-series components including XTR shifters and 12-speed chain.

Shimano XTR components are covered by a 3-year warranty from the date of original purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear items (cables, pulleys, chain) and damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow Shimano service recommendations are not covered.
