MONO-BODY Caliper Design

The BR-M9200 caliper is cold-forged from a single block of aluminium, then CNC-machined — the MONO-BODY construction eliminates the flex that comes with multi-piece calipers. The result is direct, responsive braking with a firm lever feel that top XC racers rely on for precise modulation at speed. Heat-resistant resin pistons and purpose-engineered caliper seals maintain consistent piston rebound speed, so the feel stays true lap after lap.

BL-M9200 Lever

The BL-M9200 is designed specifically for cross-country race bikes. The magnesium master cylinder body keeps mass centralised, while the carbon lever blade saves critical grams at the bar. The lever is I-SPEC EV compatible for integrated shifter mounting, keeping your cockpit clean and uncluttered. Reach is adjustable to suit a range of hand sizes and riding positions.

Low-Viscosity Mineral Oil & ONE WAY Bleeding

Shimano's new low-viscosity mineral oil flows more freely through the hydraulic circuit, producing a linear and predictable power curve across a wide temperature range. The ONE WAY BLEEDING system uses streamlined oil routing that minimises trapped air bubbles, and the included funnel tool makes bleed sessions quick, clean, and reliable — important for race-day maintenance windows.

Compatibility & Fit

This is the front brake J-Kit with right-hand BL-M9200 lever (Australian convention: right lever = front brake). Caliper mount: post mount. Compatible with standard 160 mm and 180 mm rotors (SM-RT900 / SM-RT800 series recommended). Not compatible with 203 mm or 220 mm rotors. Uses Shimano mineral oil only — not compatible with DOT fluid. I-SPEC EV compatible for combined shifter/lever mounting. Supplied with resin pads and 1,700 mm brake hose (BH90-JK-SS).
