Mono-Body Performance

By machining the caliper body from a single cold-forged aluminium billet, Shimano eliminates the flex points that can cause brake fade and inconsistent feel. ICE TECHNOLOGIES Cooling

The BR-M9120 is designed to work with Shimano's ICE TECHNOLOGIES rotor and pad ecosystem. The included N03A-RF pads feature a finned alloy backing plate that draws heat away from the pad compound and rotor, helping maintain consistent braking performance even under sustained hard use. Upgrading to N04C-MF metal-compound finned pads is a straightforward swap for riders seeking maximum stopping power in demanding conditions.

Compatibility & Fit

The BR-M9120 uses a standard post mount (74mm, 4mm caliper fixing screws). It is compatible with 140mm, 160mm, 180mm, 203mm, and 220mm rotors with the appropriate adapter. Hose connection is banjo-type; Shimano recommends the SM-BH90-SBM hose kit for installation. Pairs directly with the Shimano BL-M9120 XTR Trail lever and RT-MT900 series rotors. Uses Shimano mineral oil — do not use DOT fluid.
