Charging & Battery Life

The BT-E8016 is compatible with the EC-E8004 and EC-E6002 chargers. Typical charge times with the EC-E8004: 50% in 2.5 hours, 80% in approximately 3.2 hours, 100% in 6 hours. Note: the BT-E8016 is not compatible with the older EC-E6000 charger. The Li-Ion chemistry is engineered for durability — after 1,000 full charge/discharge cycles, the battery retains more than 60% of its original capacity.

Compatibility & Fit

Designed for the Shimano STEPS E8000 series e-MTB drivetrain system. Mounts to the down tube using the dedicated BM-E8016 battery mount (sold separately — required; not compatible with older BT-E8010 mounts due to the larger physical size of the 630Wh cell).
