Era SL is a flippable 35mm carbon bar for XC racers and downcountry riders. At 170g Race Face calls it the lightest handlebar in its 35mm class, and its Goldilocks (GL) tune keeps it responsive under power and forgiving when the trail gets rough.

Flip to fit

Era SL has a single 9° bend (9.4° to be exact). Installed in the +6mm or -6mm position and rolled to suit, it mimics the feel of Race Face's 8° back, 5° up bars, so you can change cockpit height without changing your hand position. Paired with a Race Face Turbine SL stem, Race Face quotes up to 24mm of total cockpit height adjustment.

Built for XC and downcountry

Race Face designed Era SL for XC and downcountry riding and rates it suitable for trail riding on bikes with up to 140mm of travel. You can trim it to 720mm; cutting it narrower has no structural effect, but it does make the bar stiffer than intended.

Compatibility & fit

Era SL has a 35mm clamp. Use a stem with a clamp no wider than 60mm; it is not compatible with wider stems such as direct mount stems. Race Face publishes an Era SL installation guide, and fitting is available as a separate workshop service.
