Tough enough for enduro and downhill, light enough for XC: the Praxis MTN DM1X is a forged narrow/wide ring that bolts straight to a 3-bolt direct mount MTB crank. Pick the tooth count, then the offset that gives the right chainline for your frame.

Choosing an offset
Offset moves the ring in or out to set the chainline. On Praxis's Gen2 MTN direct mount cranks, the 3 mm ring gives a 52 mm Boost chainline and the 0 mm ring gives 55 mm. On older Gen1 Praxis MTN cranks, the same rings give 49 mm and 52 mm. On other brands' cranks the result depends on that crank, so check before you order, or ask us.
Setup notes
Praxis requires a clutch rear derailleur and recommends an upper chain guide in rough terrain. Praxis reference weights: 32T 66 g, 34T 68 g.
Fitting
Fitting is a separate workshop service and isn't included in the price. The ring mounts with three T25 Torx bolts at 9 Nm on a clean, greased interface. The Tune workshop can fit it, confirm your chainline and set chain length for the new size.

- MTB cranks with the 3-bolt direct mount interface, including all Praxis DM MTN cranks.
- Shimano mechanical and Di2, and SRAM mechanical and wireless, 10/11/12-speed.
- Clutch rear derailleur required.

Praxis warrants its components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the original purchase date, for the original owner. Normal wear and tear isn't covered, and for chainrings Praxis lists tooth wear and the anodised or coated finish wearing off as wear. Damage from crashes, impact, incorrect installation (including the wrong tools) or modification is also excluded.
This cover is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Keep your proof of purchase. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Praxis's Australian distributor.
