The Freedom Mustang is a road training tyre built for durability, with bead-to-bead Shark Skin+ and a Kevlar K3 layer under the tread for serious puncture protection.

Two layers of protection

The Mustang's casing is wrapped from bead to bead in Shark Skin+, a high-density 40 x 40 nylon breaker. On top of that, Freedom adds a Dino Skin K3 layer, a light, high-density Kevlar mesh placed under the tread.

Compound and bead

Freedom's purpose-designed rubber compound is made to last many kilometres while staying grippy and predictable in all conditions. The spun aramid bead folds for carrying and is lighter than a wire bead.

Compatibility & fit

This tyre is sized 700 x 28c. Match it to the size moulded into your current tyre's sidewall: tyres for different wheel diameters aren't interchangeable, and the width needs to suit your rim and frame clearance. It has a folding bead. Freedom doesn't list it as tubeless-ready, so plan to run it with an inner tube. Fitting and puncture repair are workshop services and aren't included in the price. Our workshop can fit your new tyres and check the tubes and rim tape while the wheels are out.
