Hope's vented rotor is built for the harshest conditions: downhill, e-bike, long alpine descents. The outer is three pieces - two braking faces with internal fins between them - so air is drawn through the rotor as it spins. Hope's dyno testing shows up to 15% less heat build-up than its floating rotor, and the fins clear water for consistent wet-weather braking. The outer is joined to a CNC aluminium centre with one degree of float.
Designed specifically for Hope's V4 caliper (Tech 4 V4 and the earlier V4s, which take rotors up to 3.3 mm). At 3.3 mm it is far thicker than a standard 1.8 or 2.3 mm rotor: Hope states the Evo GR4 is not compatible with vented rotors, and every Evo, XCR and Tech 4 X2 / E4 caliper is limited to 1.8-2.3 mm rotors - fit a floating or fixed rotor to those. Choose the size and colour in the dropdowns: 203 or 220 mm, 6-bolt, anodised centre in black, silver, red, blue, orange, purple or bronze.
Before you order: a 220 mm rotor needs the matching Hope brake mount for your fork or frame (sold separately).
Hope Technology warrants its rotors against defects in materials and workmanship. The braking surface is a wear item: Hope's minimum thickness is 1.5 mm on floating and fixed rotors and 2.9 mm on the vented rotor.
