The Tech 4 E4 draws on more than 25 years of Hope hydraulic brake design to deliver more power, delivered consistently from the moment you pull the lever. It pairs the Tech 4 lever with Hope's four-piston E4 caliper for trail, all-mountain and e-MTB riding.

A lighter, more controllable lever

Higher hydraulic and mechanical ratios give a linear, easy-to-control power delivery. New sealing and a roller bearing pivot allow a lower spring rate, so the lever is lighter and less tiring while keeping Hope's feel and modulation.

E4 caliper

The updated four-piston E4 caliper uses hybrid stainless steel pistons with phenolic inserts, for smoother movement, less maintenance and resistance to heat transfer in extreme use. Maximum rotor thickness is 2.3mm.

Compatibility & fit

Post mount caliper; rotor and the correct Hope mount are sold separately. Hope supplies Tech 4 brakes with the rear-length 1.6m hose fitted, to be trimmed to length. In Australia the front brake usually runs on the right lever – our workshop can set up either way. Fitting, hose trimming and bleeding are a separate Tune Cycles workshop service, not included in the price – book at tunecycles.com.au/book.
