The Duo lever lets one hand control both brakes. Hope developed it with riders who have limited or no grip in one hand, and this is the complete Duo master cylinder in black, built around the proven Tech 3 master cylinder – in right-hand and left-hand versions.

Built around real riders

Hope's designer, who has a hand impairment himself, developed the Duo from Hope's earlier Uno lever, with test feedback from a young rider born with one hand. Unlike the Uno, the Duo keeps the front and rear brakes on two completely separate circuits, so a problem with one brake never takes out the other.

Adjust it to suit you

Derived from the Tech 3 master cylinder, the Duo keeps finger reach and bite point adjustment so the lever sits where your hand wants it and the brakes bite where you expect.

Compatibility & fit

Hope says the Duo master cylinder pairs with its X2, E4 or V4 calipers, covering everything from XC to enduro. Choose the side you brake with. Setting up a Duo system needs hoses cut to length and a full bleed. Fitting, hose trimming and bleeding are a separate Tune Cycles workshop service, not included in the price – book a workshop service.

Hope Technology covers its components for two years from the original date of purchase against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship; damage from normal wear, misuse or not following Hope's recommendations isn't covered. For warranty support, return the item to Tune Cycles with your proof of purchase and we'll manage the claim for you. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
