Break a chain trailside

Unscrew the steel pin and thread it into the side hole to make a T-handle. Drop the chain into the fixture, line the rivet up with the pressing pin and turn it clockwise with a 5 mm hex key. Screw both pins back in fully before the tool goes back in the bar so nothing rattles. Our workshop can fit a new chain and tune your drivetrain once you are home.

Compatibility & fit

Needs a handlebar with an inner diameter over 18 mm and a 100 mm straight section at the bar end; carbon bars vary, so measure first. The 22 mm side cap suits close-end lock-on grips and the 30 mm cap suits open-end grips. No room in the bar? The second expansion rubber fits it into a hollow crank axle. Fitting takes a 3 mm hex key.
