The bash plate on a Zippa DH is there to take the rock strikes your chainring would otherwise take. When it is chewed up or broken, this kit puts a fresh one on without replacing the whole guide.

When to replace it

Wear on the bash plate is the guide doing its job. Replace it once enough material has gone that hits are reaching past it, or when a section has broken away and left the chainring exposed. A hit hard enough to mark the plate can also loosen hardware, so check the guide's bolts after any big impact.

Fully serviceable guide

Every part of the Zippa DH can be replaced individually, including the bash plate, top guide, pulley and hardware, so one damaged part is a spare rather than a new chain guide.

Compatibility & fit

Fits the FUNN Zippa DH chain guide only. The Zippa Lite Bash Guard is a different part and takes the Zippa Spare Bash, so check which guide is on your bike before ordering.
