The lightest 36 Fox has made, the 36 SL brings plushness and steering precision to short-travel trail bikes. The Performance version shares the Factory chassis with the durable, simple GRIP damper.

36 SL chassis

An evolution of the 36 chassis for 120mm to 140mm of travel, the 36 SL gives modern trail riders the confidence to go big without the weight. The generatively designed arch wraps around the lowers for a 20% torsional stiffness gain over Fox's previous trail fork, the 34. It has air channels and takes Fox's optional 36/38 mud guard on a 4-point direct mount.

GRIP damper

The GRIP damper is updated with pressure balancing and uses a durable, self-healing spring-backed internal floating piston. Three on-the-fly compression positions with micro-adjust between Open, Medium and Firm, plus 10 clicks of rebound, keep set-up quick and simple.

Fitting and Fox service

Fork installation is a separate workshop service and isn't included. As an authorised Fox service centre, our Marrickville workshop can fit the fork to your bike (steerer cut, crown race and star nut), set sag and damping for your weight and riding, and look after its scheduled Fox servicing from there.

Compatibility & fit

For 29in wheels with a 15 x 110mm Boost hub and a 1.5in tapered steerer. Axle-to-crown is 556.0mm. Brakes are 180mm post mount direct. Maximum tyre size is 29 x 2.6in. Fox rates the 36 SL for EN 17406 category 4 use with a maximum system weight of 140kg, and lists it as compatible with Class 1 and L1e-A e-bikes.
