Full-width 34 chassis, XC weight

The 34 SL brings real XC capability to a full-width 34 chassis with up to 130mm of travel, built for the most technical World Cup XC courses and demanding downcountry riding. Its generatively designed arch wraps around the lowers to raise torsional stiffness by 17% over the 34 Step-Cast, and the externally machined 7000 series aluminium crown, with larger internal bores, shaves more weight.

GRIP damper

The GRIP damper is updated with pressure balancing and uses a durable, self-healing spring-backed internal floating piston. Three on-the-fly compression positions with micro-adjust between Open, Medium and Firm, plus 10 clicks of rebound, keep set-up quick and simple.

Fitting and Fox service

Fork installation is a separate workshop service and isn't included. As an authorised Fox service centre, our Marrickville workshop can fit the fork to your bike (steerer cut, crown race and star nut), set sag and damping for your weight and riding, and look after its scheduled Fox servicing from there.

Compatibility & fit

For 29in wheels with a 15 x 110mm Boost hub and a 1.5in tapered steerer. The crown suits 58mm head tubes only. Brakes are 180mm post mount direct, up to 203mm rotors with the right adapter. Maximum tyre size is 29 x 2.5in (Fox asks you to check clearance on anything wider than 2.4in with the fork fully compressed). Fox rates the 34 SL for EN 17406 category 4 use with a maximum system weight of 121kg, and lists it as compatible with Class 1 and L1e-A e-bikes. Axle-to-crown at 120mm is 530.5mm.
