The compound
The sintered compound resists water, which makes it especially effective in wet, dirty conditions, and it keeps performing when pushed hard. Jagwire names it a favourite of cyclocross, downhill and enduro racers. It's mounted on a steel backing plate.
Rotor check
If your rotor is marked "For Resin Pads Only", Jagwire says to use organic (resin) pads only: semi-metallic, e-bike and sintered compounds aren't compatible with it.
