The compound
Semi-metallic sits between organic and metallic pads, which is why Jagwire calls it an excellent all-purpose option and rates it an upgrade over most OEM pads.
Rotor check
If your rotor is marked "For Resin Pads Only", Jagwire says to use organic (resin) pads only: semi-metallic, e-bike and sintered compounds aren't compatible with it.
