Cane Creek's S.H.I.S. (Standardized Headset Identification System) code states a headset cup's real dimensions rather than a marketing name, so two cups with the same code always fit the same head tube and steerer. The code reads as the cup type and outside diameter, then the crown race seat diameter — e.g. IS52/40 is Integrated (drop-in), 52mm head tube bore, 40mm crown race seat.

Compatibility & fit

Matches a 52.1mm integrated (is) lower head tube and a 1.5in steerer only — a bottom assembly for the wrong S.H.I.S. code won't seat. Confirm your frame's lower head tube bore and steerer diameter against Cane Creek's fit chart, or ask the Tune workshop to measure and fit it.
