This is the top half only of a Cane Creek 40-Series headset: the integrated cup, bearing and tall top cap, sold separately for building up or servicing a headset rather than as a complete set.

Compatibility & fit

S.H.I.S. (the Standardized Headset Identification System) is the code the whole headset industry uses for cup and crown race sizes, written upper | lower — this top assembly is IS41/28.6, meaning an Integrated (IS) upper that sits recessed inside a 41.1mm head tube bore with a 28.6mm (1-1/8in) stem clamp, in the tall (15mm stack) cover height. Integrated headsets have no external cup shoulder, unlike External Cup (EC) or ZeroStack (ZS) types — check which your frame uses before ordering. IS41 and IS42 bores are not interchangeable despite the similar numbers. If you're not sure which headset standard your frame uses, the Tune workshop can check and fit it.

Cane Creek's 40-Series (Forty) headsets carry a 1-year warranty to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship. For warranty support, return the product to Tune Cycles and we'll manage the claim with Cane Creek's Australian distributor. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, so keep your proof of purchase.
