Details

Retainers hold the balls at the right spacing in cup-and-cone hubs, bottom brackets, headsets and coaster brakes, which makes a rebuild far quicker than loose balls.

Fit

Match the ball size and count to the old retainer, and fit it the same way round (balls towards the cone). Grease well.

Bearings are covered against defects in materials and workmanship. Wear from contamination, water ingress, incorrect fitting (pressing on the wrong race) or use in the wrong application isn't covered.
