5DEV cranks use a three-piece design: the arms stay the same and the spindle sets the width, Q-factor and chainline. Swap the spindle to move your 5DEV cranks to a new frame or chainline instead of buying new arms.

Choosing a spindle
Diameter: match your bottom bracket. If your bottom bracket is SRAM DUB, you need a 29 mm spindle; most aftermarket bottom brackets with 30 mm bearings take the 30 mm spindle. A Shimano 24 mm bottom bracket has to be replaced with one or the other (5DEV).
Length: 5DEV says most 73 mm XC and enduro MTB shells use its 130 mm spindle. The 136 mm spindle is for SRAM Wide, with a 55 mm chainline, on select MTB setups with extra-wide chainstays, and 5DEV also recommends it if your crank arms sit less than 3 mm from the chainstay.
Q-factor on 5DEV cranks: RGXC titanium road crank 152 mm (Road), 160 mm (Road Wide), 166 mm (XC); titanium MTB crank 168 mm (Boost), 177 mm (SuperBoost+), 183 mm (DH); R-SPEC trail/enduro crank 167 mm (Boost), 176 mm (SuperBoost+).

Compatibility & fit
Made for 5DEV's own analog (non-eBike) crank arms, including the RGXC titanium, titanium MTB, R-SPEC trail/enduro and Cam Zink Freeride cranks. The bottom bracket is sold separately.
The Tune Cycles workshop can swap the spindle, set the drive-side and non-drive-side spacers and preload, and refit the crank as a separate workshop service. The right bottom bracket tool or bearing press matters, and 5DEV's crank bolt torque is 40 Nm on its MTB cranks and 50 Nm on the RGXC.
5DEV backs its products with a limited 5-year warranty from the date of manufacture, against defects in materials and workmanship. If 5DEV confirms a defect, it replaces the affected part with a comparable model. Talk to us before replacing anything: 5DEV voids the warranty if a part from another maker is fitted in place of the 5DEV component.
